Library Policies and Procedures

Ms. Hill's #1 Rule = Don't Annoy Ms. Hill! :)

The library is a place of learning. Absolute quiet is not necessary. Students who are not accompanied by a teacher will sit no more than two or three people per table. Whispering is allowed, but do not abuse this privilege. The student handbook will be enforced. Violation of the handbook may result in discipline and/or removal from the library at the librarian's discretion.

The Internet Acceptable Usage Policy will be strictly enforced in the library--remember I can see your screen! Students who are not accompanied by a teacher will sign in and out of the library and must use a student pass or have a teacher’s pass to enter and leave. Color printer costs are 25 cents/page.

Fiction, nonfiction, old magazines, story collection, videos, flash drives and audiobooks can be checked out for 4 weeks. Reference, FlipCams, digital cameras and current magazines may be checked out overnight or longer if the need isn't high. Items may be renewed. Fines are 5 cents a day. It is the student's responsibility to return materials on time, but pay attention to announcements for leniency days.
